Shortstop prospect George Lombard Jr. has been the talk of the New York Yankees’ spring traiing camp.
On March 12, the Yankees reassigned Lombard to their minor league camp. While not necessarily a surprise, the move paves the way for his more veteran teammates to seize the shortstop position on Opening Day.
